About the Film Co.
316c Films informally began in the fall of 2023. Its first projects included A Winter Sci-Fi story which has since been paused (someday to-be-resumed!), and work on Dr. No Finger by Joe Films and Oblivion (Into the Echo), as well as Macabre Mystique (October 2025), by this film company's predecessor, 317c Films. The company is a collaboration between two aspiring filmmakers during their undergraduate career at UMass Lowell. The unique style is heavily influenced by our ability to craft impressive props by hand that work well with our detail-oriented visual effects and dialogue. Combined, both founders of 316c Films have constructed a 13-foot tall arctic monster, a full-scale suit of armor with working segments and hinges, a glow-in-the-dark subterranean alien costume, and of course, masks of ourselves! Currently, we are set out to finalize a short film with a 3-person-operated dragon that has a full wingspan over 15 feet across!
As of April, 2026, 316c Films is launching its campaign to run with something new in the independent film industry. We hope to fulfill our projects by requesting volunteer actors who have an interest in the art and gaining some experience. (Please see "316c Guide" for more info!)

Edge of Town
(Filming : Summer 2026)
In this mini-series project, a recent graduate returns home, only to start exploring the mysteries of the research facility near town. In his search, he encounters the collapsing reality of a parallel world that's bridged to our own via a micro blackhole.
