For Volunteer Actors

What is a Volunteer Actor?

It is an acting position with our film company that is temporary and unpaid.

 

What will you receive?

As a volunteer actor, you won't receive monetary compensation. However, you WILL get access to food and water while on set! Food may be snacks or small on-the-go lunches. We will also try to have enough first aid kits available, but personal medicine and emergency needs would be your responsibility. 

You will be able to get compensated some gas mileage money if driving from over 30 miles away to a site.

Some sites may not have bathrooms available. Keep this in mind to prepare. We will try to limit work sessions to reasonable times. Breaks are also always allowed if needing to leave the site for whatever reason. 

You get experience on set! You also get to be a part of our start-up!

What access do you receive?

You will receive access to free merch! This includes but is not limited to, t-shirts, DVDs of films if burned, CDs of original music if created, stickers, . . . Merchandise will be limited to one per product per actor as we'd like your friends and family to help support the company if possible! If you direct them to purchase anything, let us know so we can give them a 50% off discount!

You will also receive access to partial rights of products. What this means is that you still cannot reproduce our products (videos, mp3s, merch, sound bites, etc.) but that you have the right to self-edit and recreate portions of films that include your parts if you want to self-advertise or utilize the experience in a portfolio. You have the freedom to use what you've worked for! This also means you're allowed to make your own stickers and merch if you want, it just can't look like ours.

What will we have access to?

We will be able to use your image and files from your acting parts for both our film and merchandise products and for advertising of our film company. Since we are super small, we're also very considerate, so we'll likely ask you first before using your image for a separate product outside of the film. This will only include images that you have given to us, such as stills from filming or other pictures you've provided with permission. 

We will be able to use your name to credit you.

How we officiate this?

We start with a simple zoom meeting or google meet, it's super casual!

We just want to get to know you, hear why you're interested, and see if you'll fit a part we're looking for. If we have parts listed, you can also let us know your preferences!

Following this, we'll send you a google form so that you can select certain preferences and agree to or decline our contract (including all the info above). 

Then we'll send you two scripts. One that shows everything, and one that is just your parts.

After this, you'll get a schedule and an additional form to confirm that everything works for you!
